Digit is a bipedal delivery robot that is approximately the size and shape of a small adult human. It’s able to navigate environments semi-autonomously with the help of LIDAR and other sensors, and the clever machine can carry boxes in its arms that weigh as much as 40 pounds. Digit was designed by Agility Robotics, and it costs about $25 an hour to operate. The Henn na hotel chain in Japan is using many different robots. Numerous Henn na hotels feature humanoid robots. These life-like machines work at the front desk and help guests check-in. There are also cute concierge robots and robot assistants at Henn na hotels. Moxi is a robotic nursing assistant that can complete a variety of tasks. The smart robot can deliver samples and prepare rooms for new patients.
