That would be Shortridge Academy, a private college preparatory boarding school in New Hampshire that focuses on combining therapy and education so that troubled teens can get into their dream schools-- even if they’re Ivy League. Shortridge has only about 40 students per year and employs a personal counsellor for each one. They also give students entire apartments to live in during their time at the boarding school-- plus a 350-acre campus with its own hiking trails to enjoy. But this kind of education comes at a high price-- $85,000 per year, to be exact. Shortridge is also an Apple school, so students have to pay for their own Macbook Air and iPhone to be allowed to attend. While it’s not a super luxurious school like Avenues: The World School in New York, Shortidge is so much more expensive and rarely offers any financial aid. About 90% of students are fully funded by their parents and the aid offered, if any, is an average of only $5,000 per year. For that kind of money, students enjoy activities like jiu jitsu, weight lifting, dance, music, basketball and so many others.
