The Most Expensive Abandoned Mansions
We’ve covered a ton of mansions on this channel. The likes of Drake and Kanye have built incredible mansions that look like they could stand forever. Of course, we know that isn’t the case. There have been many fine expensive estates built over the centuries. While some, like Buckingham Palace, are still being used for their original purposes, that isn’t the case for most estates of this size. In fact, many of them get abandoned and become ruins that are sad reminders of the cruel passage of time. Some of these are big royal estates. These were built even a few decades ago only to become abandoned due to scandal or the massive upkeep these homes require. Sometimes both. Then there are homes built during the Gilded Age. These palaces were constructed in a different time, when industrialists wanted to flaunt their wealth in as big and grand a fashion as possible. Today many of these homes are just impractical. Then there’s Neverland Ranch, a home so filled with the controversies of Michael Jackson’s life, that it will almost surely be demolished. One mansion was built on top of a skyscraper in India only for the buyer to flee the country when his crimes were found out. This house was based on one very famous American house that I bet you could guess. Though this one will never be finished. Then there’s Lennox Castle, a former asylum which is deeeeeefinitely haunted today. So which of these places is the most interesting? Let’s find out!
